Well I hope all that emergency preparedness came in handy this weekend because we certainly got a reminder about being ready for anything. I also hope you all came through unscathed but mindful. And continue to roll with whatever Mother Nature is dishing out.
This week’s program is NeuroBoxing fight camp, a program for people who have neurological disease or brain injury, including stroke victims, Parkinson’s sufferers. The “ camp” offers physical conditioning, an emotional support group… come hear Beth Baumer talk about her program. We all have friends that have experienced life changing events or diagnoses that may want to know about this resource in our community.
The Taste of Ventura social last week was well attended and a great opportunity to connect with businesses and people in the community and try some great food and drink!.
Next week Sarah Abrams will be visiting us from Love Ventura. We will be participating in the community service day on October 7. Last year we helped out at the YMCA. Another opportunity to meet volunteer oriented people that could become wonderful Rotarians!
