We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian social organization comprising local business, civic and professional leaders. We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to solve community and global problems with service projects. Like:

Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
Internationally we support a medical project in Ethiopia and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community. Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.

This Thursday night come and enjoy good company along with good food and drink at our Third
Thursday Night Social, this month at The Six Ventura. The Six is located at 419 East Main, suite C,
downtown Ventura. Remember to bring a potential member as our socials are a wonderful way to
introduce prospective members to our Club and a wonderful way for us to get to know them as well. As
discussed last week during our Club Assembly, we all need to identify a prospective member and ask
them to join us as our guest at a future meeting. Together we can grow our Club! We need You!!

October 13^th is Taste of Ventura. We have tickets for $25.00 per ticket.

Margarida Eidson let us know that the Club Foundation is donating $1,000 to the Brain Injury Function to honor Midge Stork.

Margarida Eidson presented the club with a patch for being a silver club last year.
