This week’s meeting is our “Third Thursday Night” social at The Peking Restaurant located at 5960 Telegraph Road (across from Buena High School) 5:30-7:30pm. I love this restaurant and I am sure you will too. Bring a guest, all are welcome.
I’d like to thank Bruce for taking some time this past Thursday to discuss membership. If our desire is to impact our community, one sure way to do so is by increasing our membership. We have a wonderful opportunity to do just that, by inviting a potential member this week to the Peking Restaurant. Think about it!
The “Rise Against Hunger” Event is this Saturday the 22nd at the Poinsettia Pavilion from 10am – 12noon. We’ll be assembling 1000 food packets that will be deployed to emergency situations around the world. Each packet will feed 10 people. This is another great opportunity to bring a potential member, to let them see firsthand what Rotary is doing around the world.
Mark your calendars for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Saturday, March 14th – We’re all signed up, so let’s get out there and honor our friend Pete!! Additional information to follow. Also, in the month of March we have our Dance Fundraiser!!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to Salsa Dance? Well here’s your chance!! Our Club will be hosting a Salsa Class/Dance fundraiser on Friday, March 27th 6:30-10:30pm at the Poinsettia Pavilion. Dance instructors will be providing lessons covering beginning to advanced salsa dancing, so you can take a lesson then dance the night away!! There will be food trucks and we’re hosting the bar. Should be a very enjoyable evening. This is another great opportunity to bring a potential new member. Look for more information and sign-ups at our next meeting.
