We are a nonpolitical, nonsectarian social organization comprising local business, civic and professional leaders. We meet regularly to get to know each other, form friendships and through that we are able to solve community and global problems with service projects. Like:

Scholarships at 5 local high schools,
Interact Clubs at 3 local schools.
Support the YMCA, City Center, Ventura Botanical Gardens
Promote literacy and career guidance in schools
Internationally we support a medical project in Ethiopia and contribute to eliminating Polio worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Ventura-East meets Thursday noon to 1:30 at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura. Come and learn more about Rotary's humanitarian service, high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will in this community. Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.

I am hoping everyone will join me this Thursday night for our August Club Social at Rocks & Drams, 14 South California St. - 5:30pm to 7pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to socialize with Club members and partake in good food and drink. Remember to bring a prospective member!!

As for socializing, we only have a few short weeks until our Tri – Rotary Casino Night Fundraiser Event, September 9^th at the Poinsettia Pavilion from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. I hope you have updated your calendar; I know I am looking forward to the Casino Games, Food, Wine & Beer, Karaoke, and much more!! Get you tickets while supplies last!!
