Greetings Rotarians and Friends of Rotarians and welcome to a new Rotary year!
The Step Down event for the four now past presidents was delightful, heartfelt, and Fun! The District theme this year is Let’s Have Fun! So we are off to a great start. Congratulations to David Andersen and Kathy McGee who were honored as Rotarians of the Year. Thank you to Bill Spellman and Vance for regaling us with tales of Rotary East’s past. The skit that Cal created was a big hit! Thank you to Rich and Harriet for helping Cal execute that trial expertly. Shout out to Bruce McGee as MC and Adonis for his witty introductions. We were graced with the presence of both the current and incoming District Governors, Scott Phillips and Marta Golding Brown. District Governor Scott presided over the induction of the 2023-2024 Board: Nancy D’Attilio, Jacquelyn Gargano, Adonis Campillo, Joe Bova, Tim Hughes, Joe Strohman, Cal Magro, Bruce McGee, Rich Stewart, Jeff Hata, Margarida Eidson, Charles Ferguson, Dawn Knowles, and yours truly. Thank you all for your support and vote of confidence.
We’re going to have a fabulous year! Starting with the 4th of July Push- Em Pull -Em Parade. Join us at Cemetery Park to see all the cute costumes. Brownie Troop 65017 will lead the patriotic march down Main Street promptly at 10 a.m.
You won’t want to miss my first meeting on Thursday! Some new things, some old things, and a couple of fun things. Get ready to jump into a new year.
