Ronald McDonald House Southern California
Jan. 11, 2023
Jacquelyn was born and raised in Ventura County and has a deep sense of pride for her community. She moved to Bakersfield in 2019 and was integral in opening a small business that still thrives to this day. Here she met Scarlett Sabin, the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House Director. Jacquelyn packed her bags and moved back home to Ventura County in January 2022. Once Scarlett learned of this, she gave Jacquelyn the opportunity to open a local chapter of this global charity. The Ronald McDonald Family Room at Ventura County Medical Center opened its doors in September 2022 and served over 100 families in its first couple of months. With Jacquelyn’s experience in perseverance and starting from the ground up, she is working hard and has big plans for the future. Jacquelyn, like many, adopted a COVID puppy and has been in love ever since. You can often find her at the local dog parks or trails. Jacquelyn is blessed to have a partner who supports her career. He loves to take Jacquelyn to try local eateries or to just take a drive. Jacquelyn also loves to peruse old bookshops, small museums, and will support anything local. She feels so blessed to continue to grow her personal and professional roots here in Ventura County.
