Judith Hale Norris will give a fascinating talk at our noontime meeting July 27.  As a young attorney at the U.S. Justice Department, she was present for the “Saturday Night Massacre” in which the special Watergate prosecutor was fired and the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General resigned.  As Chief Staff Counsel for the U.S. Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia, she worked with Judges Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Scalia, Starr, and Bork.  She witnessed first-hand the genuine friendships between judges despite their deep ideological differences.

Ms. Norris received her Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law.  She served as an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and directed a program to assist small investors in securities disputes.  Her extensive community service includes serving on the boards of Community Memorial Health System, Ojai Women’s Fund, and Music Festival Women’s Committee.  She was recently selected as a Rotary Clubs of Ojai Living Treasure.
