Today we welcomed Jake Northey our Adventures in Citizenship student and Ellen Boyce from the Rotary Club of Dundas. Today is also Bob Morrow's birthday and we sang Happy Birthday to him. Ellen had volunteer sign up sheets for the lobster and rib dinner; and, promoted a new golf tournament in honour of Trevor Garwood-Jones. She asked that golfers set aside September 24 to play at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.

George Gould asked his personal secretary Ken to convey a thank-you to all who volunteered for the successful Victoria Day fireworks. Derek also offered his thank-you to the volunteers and asked that they in turn thank any friends who helped that evening. Ross asked for the members' OK to give $1500 to Dundas Community Services and $1000 to Canterbury Hills. Wayne Migus needs more wine for the draw, Bill needs more auction items and Bob Bell wants you ticket money or unsold tickets next week. Paul Clifford promoted the HARRRP golf tournament on June 26 at Century Pines. Ralph, Derek and Ken will play and are looking for a forth.

Happy Dollars from David Mattchett as he prepares to head to Ireland to play golf; Irene who left early to pick up her elderly aunt; Art for newly found glow stick money; and Barb who returned from a wonderful trip to China where she visited with her son. She was glad to see western toilets! And Ralph offered a Happy Dollar on behalf of the club's newest member, Marine Sergeant Rob Reid, who was sporting a brush cut. This of course prompted a response from Rob who said people like to rub their fingers through his hair.

Rob introduced Jake who gave an overview of his visit to Ottawa. This was followed by guest speaker David Lowery who was thanked by Ken Beel a fellow Yorkshire.

Next week, Vlad Veckie is on the desk.
