La Cuesta Students of the Month, Rico Holcombe-Pesek and Isabel Parra.
The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise proudly recognized two exceptional students from La Cuesta High School, Rico Holcombe-Pesek and Isabel Parra, as Students of the Month on March 19, 2025. Dennis Johns, the club’s Student of the Month Coordinator, shared the club’s long-standing connection with La Cuesta High, which was adopted by the Rotary Club many years ago. La Cuesta is an alternative school that provides students with personalized attention and guidance, offering them a supportive environment to overcome challenges.
Carrie Anderson, La Cuesta’s counselor, highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of both students, noting their resilience and commitment to excelling in their studies and social behavior. Carlos Cohen, Principal of La Cuesta, also expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for their recognition and support. He looks forward to future collaborations between the school and the club to further benefit the students.
