Dr. Casey obtained his undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans, where he graduated magna cum laude.  After earning his doctorate of medicine at Loyola University Chicago, he completed his general surgery training at Ochsner Clinic Foundation and his vascular surgery fellowship from Stanford University Medical Center.  Dr. Casey recently retired as a Commander in the United States Navy, where he served as the Vascular Division Chief at Naval Medical Center San Diego and Associate Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.  He has been the lead researcher on publications examining abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, dialysis access and lower extremity critical limb ischemia.
