How safe are our elections?

 

Joe Holland will share important information regarding the safety of our elections from outside manipulation. National news has been dominated by the Russian hacking allegations of the 2016 elections, questions were raised that never had to be considered before. To answer these and other questions Joe Holland, County Clerk and Recorder will be presenting his research including a list of Frequently Asked Questions. His research has taken him to Washington DC where he has consulted with the FBI.

 

Joe Holland, the Santa Barbara County Clerk, Recorder, Assessor and Registrar of Voters, was first elected to the office in March 2002. He began a successful career in the Assessors Office in 1984 when he took a position as a Real Property Appraiser.

 

Joe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics and a Masters Degree in Economics — both from UC Santa Barbara. He graduated from the UCLA Executive Program at the Anderson School of Business in 2001, and also holds the designation of Certified Public Finance Officer.

 

Active in the community, Joe serves as a volunteer board member on the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program. A resident of Santa Barbara County since 1978, he and his wife Kathy live in Goleta and have three grown children Scott, Bridget and Michelle.
