NOTES FROM OUR MARCH 1, 2023 MEETING
Lunch & Meeting at Brass Bear Uptown Restaurant
 
Flag Salute & Invocation was done by John Holehouse.
 
Rotary Song was led by Blas Garza, “America the Beautiful”.  We were in tone this time, thanks to the great warm-up.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & REPORTS
Donation to the Free Wheelchair Mission Foundation for a container of 280 wheelchairs to be delivered to Puerto Vallarta handicap persons in need of a wheelchair.  The cost of this container of wheelchairs is $56,000, the following Rotary Club members gave toward the cause:

  6. Roberto Najera $5,000 (WOW)
Thank you to these generous Rotarians.
A meeting is planned on Friday with Sara Leo, art teacher at Adams School to discuss the possibility of bringing a mural artist from Puerto Vallarta to work with the students in creating a mural for the school.  This project will be in conjunction with the Santa Barbara/Puerto Vallarta Sister City Committee and the Santa Barbara County School Creative Art Project.
Donation to our International Service Projects was presented to Michael Bergquist.
 
MEGA BUCKS
Cathy Calabro pledged a Mega Buck in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Mary Kay.
Michael Bergquist pledged two Mega Bucks in honor of his wedding anniversary to Jennifer and their first date.
Roberto Najera pledged a Mega Buck in honor of his wedding anniversary to Esperanza.

Special thank you to Immediate-Past-President Guy de Mangeon for selling tickets for the Opportunity Drawing and Michael Bergquist for running the drawing.  Guest speaker Kai Tepper won The Berry Man gift certificate.  Congratulations!
