-Cathy Calabro — announced there will be a workshop at 505 Poli St in Ventura next Thursday from 12-1pm where “Straight Forward Success” will introduce tools for success in small businesses.

-Board meetings will be the first week of every month on Wednesdays from 11-12pm at Harry’s Plaza Cafe. The first one will be held this Wednesday (2/6).

Project Update in Genuma and Kyanni
Ngu Nyumu Well Site: Since 2011 four new water tanks have been implemented serving 8,000 citizens. The residents now have power to get water up to higher ground from well.
Kyaani Secondary School in Machakos: Sight drilled for borehole in 2017. There is now a water tower for storage. The girls’ dormitory is now completed with the help of the donations from our Rotary Club, Syokimau Rotary, and Rotary International. On November 7th of 2018 the dedication took place. A new kitchen will now be funded by the local community, as the old one was unsanitary and very outdated.
Salama Sight: Although this is not yet a funded project, infrastructure needs to be built around the borehole there. First they need to figure out how to get the water and the quality of it.
After looking at old and new projects, Joe and his wife as well as John Holehouse and his wife went on a safari in the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation. They were amazed at how calm and peaceful it was.
