President Gil reported on the Rotary International drug prevention initiative MOU. Our club needs to form a committee, any interest please contact Gil.

President Gil announced RCSBN Board approval for a Global Grant funding support request by Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise for Tilapia fish and vegetable farming project assistance.
Michael Bergtquist, President of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Charitable Foundation reported that the Foundation met last week, received 14 Grant requests totaling $54,859.00; and based on the 5% per year on a 3 year rolling average FMV policy, has a budget of approximately $15,000 to distribute, which includes a prior commitment of $3,000 to the Santa Barbara Scholarship Foundation. For this Period (January 25, 2024) the Board after careful consideration of the applications approved Grant requests as follows:

Dos Pueblos High School $1,000 - Softball Equipment
SB Greek Orthodox Church $2,000 - Borehole Equipment
Santa Barbara New House $1,000 - Storage Shed
