Andy Brennan, Junior at Dos Pueblos High School, guest of Jim Lisa. Andy will be attending the Hoby World Leadership Congress at Loyal University in Chicago. Henry Duran, this year income Freshman, guest of his mom Jacqueline Duran. Henry will be attending San Marcos High School accepted in the APPLE Program. He recently graduated from Crane School, and he was honored with best math student. He will be starting an Interact Rotary Club at San Marcos High School and our Rotary Club will be the sponsor. (YAY!)
Mary Garza, guest of Blas Garza. Mary has made enough meetings in the past she should become a Rotarian!
Emiliano Campobello, a guest of the club and potential member is self-employed and sells indoor air quality units, manufactured by Love Your Life Health Solutions.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dennis Waid announced the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Scholarship recipients for the 2023-2024 academic year: Yonathan Conteras Perez, award amount of $2,500 and Carolyne Erlach, award amount of $1,750. Congratulations to both and hopefully they will be able to attend an upcoming meeting to talk about their university studies. We also thank the Santa Barbara Scholarship Foundation for their support.
ROTARY MEMBER CRAFT TALK
SEBASTIAN ALDANA JR. is the newest member of our club. He is a native of Santa Barbara and attended local schools, class of 1979 Santa Barbara High School Don. He was a journeyman painter for 30 plus years. He has been married to Norma Aldana for over 33 years and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. He is currently the Director of Urban Farm Logistics at The Terrace Foundation.
Sebastian has been very involved in local community neighborhood issues. He has two Mayor and City Council positions, Eastside representative for the Neighborhood Advisory Council for the past 14 years and Parks and Recreation Commissioner for 2 years. He is currently the President of the Santa Barbara Eastside Society and served as President of the Santa Barbara/Puerto Vallarta Sister City Committee (2021 & 2022). He has enjoyed helping with projects in Puerto Vallarta because his roots are in that region.
He is very happy and honored to be asked to be a Rotarian and looking forward to the year to come.
Terry Straehley pledged a Mega Buck in honor of his up-coming anniversary to wife Patricia. Terry is the recipient of 9 Paul Harris awards and continues to give to the Rotary International Foundation.
Kim Bish pledged a Mega Buck in honor of his trip to Hawaii celebrating his 2nd honeymoon with his first wife. Congrats!

Marti Correa de Garcia pledged a Mega Buck in honor of turning over her Presidency to the next 2023-2024 President Gil Garcia.
