GUEST SPEAKER - DISTRICT GOVERNOR SHERRY PECKHOON SIM
District Governor Sherry is a member of the Rotary Club of Cayucos.  She started her first official club visit to the Santa Maria Noon Club. Last month, she visited 12 clubs and attended five special events, and saw a resurgence of enthusiasm and clubs expanding their reach.
Rotary District 5240 consists of almost 3,000 members in 69 Rotary Clubs. The District spans four counties in Central California - San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, and Kern County – as well as a Chapter Club based in Guatemala, a Next Gen Club in Westlake Village, and the international-focused Rotary E-Club of One World District 5240.  Our clubs are active in all aspects of Rotary, including community and international service, youth programs, and fellowship activities.
This month is Membership and New Club Development Month.  It’s timely in the 2nd month of our 2024-2025 Rotary year, as the foundation of our district theme, Rotary Is Love, starts with our members.
Our members are integral to every club and our district. Simply put, healthy and happy members make stronger Rotarians, and enable us to magnify the impact on every service project carried out by us.
