PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Our guest speaker was District Governor Scott Phillips. Scott is a member of the Goleta morning Rotary Club and has been active with the District for many years. He gave us a breakdown of Rotary Club activities on the District level and some Rotary International news. Scott's motto is: LET'S GET LOUD! He wears pink to get out his message. We welcome his visit and wish him the best as District Governor.

We need your vote, the following Rotary members have agreed to be on the chain of incoming Presidents for our club:

Gil Garcia, President-Elect 2023-24

Cathy Calabro, President-Elect-Elect 2024-25

A vote will be taken at the next meeting on November 16th. Our meeting will be at the Unity Shoppe on the corner of Chapala and De La Vina Streets. Please RSVP by Monday (11/14/22).

Anthony Clark, joined in November 2021.

Jim Lisi joined 23 years ago. Congratulations to both and thank you for all your contributions to Rotary!

ROTARY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

District 5240 Conference, November 18-20 in Santa Barbara.

Volunteers still needed at Adams School, please see Dennis Waid.

Jim Lisi is asking for your volunteer pledges to Rotary International Foundation pledge, $100/per club member and Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Charitable Foundation pledge, $50/per club member.

MEGA BUCKS:

Patricia Juin pledged a Mega Buck because Guy is home from the hospital and healing every day.

Joe Dobbs pledged a Mega Buck because he won the opportunity drawing last time, a total of $263. And, another Mega Buck because his birthday is on the 27^th of this month.

Joe Lanza pledged a Mega Buck because of his 2-week car trip around the United States visiting friends and relatives.
