ROTARY CLUB
SANTA BARBARA NORTH
Our 1.2 million-member organization started with the vision of one man—Paul P. Harris. The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hope everyone is safe and drying out from our last big rain storm.  We're expecting an additional 4 inches of rain this week-end, so please be careful and keep dry.

Our first meeting of the year was January 4th, although it was cold and raining we had a good turn-out.  Our guest speaker, Tonya was from the State of California Department of Rehabilitation.

Donna Eyman has been working deligently on getting four RYLA students to participate in this year's youth Rotary program. Donna has interviewed several students and will be announcing the names of these students shortly.

Veronica Gallardo has agreed to spearhead the 4-Way Essay Contest this year.  I'm sure she will be looking for judges, so if asked, please say yes!

Anthony Clark has been looking around for a permanent lunch meeting place.  For our February 1st meeting we will be visiting The Brewhouse on West Montecito St.

Hope to see you at the January 18th meeting at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum.

Wishing everyone a great Rotary day!
