President Gil Garcia called the meeting to order.
Pledge of Allegiance & Invocation by Gil Garcia & glass flute meditation by Emiliano Campobello.
Visiting Rotarians: Heny Duran, co-president of the Interact Club of San Marcos High School.
Visiting Guest: Beatriz Moran, guest of Liza Gosdschan. Christina Kahn, daughter, and guest of Gil Garcia. Margaret Saavedra, President of the Santa Barbara/Puerto Vallarta Sister City Committee, and chair of the City of Santa Barbara Sister City Board (we have seven Sister Cities all over the world), guest of Marti Correa de Garcia.

Mike Bergquist announced a membership meeting of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Charitable Foundation will be held at the July 10, 2024, meeting/luncheon. Please be prepared to vote on a new Board of Directors.
Cathy Calabro announced Saturday, June 22, 2024, Board of Directors retreat for new Rotary term from 11 am – 2 pm to be held at Garcia Residence.
MEGA BUCKS
Steve Young pledged a mega buck on his Iceland trip.
Mike Bergquist pledged two mega bucks on his recent trip to Normandy & Paris, France.
Cathy Calabro pledged two mega bucks, thanking the club for funding her trip to the Rotary International conference in Singapore . . . it was wonderful, learned a lot about Rotary and very enlightening! She also praised her son who spearheaded the grant from the Santa Barbara School District, $7.3 million is going to the music and theater departments.
Veronica Gallego pledged two mega bucks because she has not been able to make a meeting, traveling for her job. She recently climbed a 6,000 ft. mountain in Utah, just to see a fabulous waterfall. She is so grateful to be working with teachers and children.
Father Larry pledged a mega buck in honor of President Gil Garcia’s 2023-24 Rotary leadership and also for the friendship of Gil & Marti.
