ANNOUNCEMENTS
Cathy Calabro announced the next Rotary Club SBN meetings will be at Mulligan’s Café, May 14th & 28th.
MEGA BUCKS
Jacqueline Duran pledged a Mega Buck in honor of her 19th Wedding Anniversary to Alex Duran on tax day April 15.
Gil Garcia pledged a Mega Buck in honor of his 27th Wedding Anniversary to Marti Correa de Garcia on day after taxes April 16.
Marti Correa de Garcia pledged a Mega Buck honoring her caregiver Gil Garcia. He has been taking care of her since she broke her ankle.
Father Larry pledged a Mega Buck for his latest book “Chasing Rainbows” that will be published in the next few months.
UP-DATES
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program, an intensive leadership experience for high school sophomores and juniors will take place May 1 – 4, 2025. Our coordinator, Donna Eyman has four candidates from local Santa Barbara High Schools that will be attending this program. Every year we invite those students to talk about their experiences at a club meeting.
Adams Elementary School, Ocean Guardians in Chumash Territory Mural will be finished soon. Artist and Rotary member Emiliano Campobello has been working with the Adams students to complete this GREAT project.
OPPORTUNITY DRAWING
Father Larry had the winning ticket to pick the red marble and win the pot of money, unfortunately he picked a white marble . . . better luck next time! Marti Correa de Garcia’s winning ticket won her The Berryman food basket.

Jim gave us a short history of the founding of Rotary and its founder attorney Paul Harris. Rotary began as a service club organization in Chicago in 1905. Mr. Harris envisioned Rotary as a place for professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and form meaningful friendships. His vision has expanded over time, leading to Rotary’s current focus on humanitarian service and global outreach.
