Our November 16th our Rotary Club meeting/luncheon was hosted by the Unity Shoppe of Santa Barbara. Club members got a tour of the Unity facilities, all were impressed with the many services offered. We then met at the lunch room to enjoy a delicious homemade meal of chile beans. Thanks to the generosity of Incoming Executive Director Angela Miller.
On November 18-19-20 Rotary District 5240 held their conference at the Hilton Hotel of Santa Barbara. Our Rotary members that attended were: Cathy Calabro, Gil Garcia, Roberto Najera and me. Jacqueline Duran and her husband Alex joined us for the Saturday night dinner/dance. Guest speakers included John Palminteri from KEYT news, another interesting speaker was Amy Scruggs, both spoke on Rotary imaging and getting the Rotary message out. District Governor Scott Phillips was everywhere, living up to his theme of "LET'S GET LOUD".

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Grant submittals for the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North Charitable Foundation are due by the end of November. A grant form can be found on the web-page.
Kim Bish announced that Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (corner of La Cumbre Ave & Foothill Rd) will be selling Christmas trees this year.
MEGA BUCKS
Guy de Mangeon pledged a Mega Buck in celebration of his anniversary (17 years) with Patricia Juin.
Cathy Calabro pledged a Mega Buck in celebration of turning 65 on Thanksgiving day. She is now eligible for MediCare.
Kim Bish pledged a Mega Buck because of his new real estate listing in Rancho Mobile Home park.
HOLIDAY PARTY
Our annual Holiday Party and Auction will be held at the Moose Lodge (110 West Victoria St) on Sunday, December 18 at 4:00 PM. The cost is $35, with a no-host bar. We will be celebrating it with the Santa Barbara/Puerto Vallarta Sister City Committee. You are asked to bring a silent auction item worth at least $50 or donate $50 to the club.
