ANNOUNCEMENTS & REPORTS
Last Wednesday evening a Rotary Club Board Meeting took place.  Jacqueline Duran, our Fundraising Director presented a chance to increase our Clubs income by purchasing Dolphin Dive Festival tickets (an event sponsored by Rotary Club Santa Barbara Sunrise).  For every Dolphin our club purchases we get a percentage of the take and entry into the Dolphin water race. At the end of the meeting Jacqueline had 12 Rotary Club members that had purchased a Dolphin, thanks to Kathy Bazarcanan for being the first to purchase a Dolphin.

Jacqueline also announced that our club would be participating in the Montecito Fourth of July parade. We will be renting a trolley, the cost to ride on the trolley is $30/per person.  The parade route is from Coast Village Road down to Carrillo Blvd and back.  Note, the City of Santa Barbara will not be having a 4th of July Parade.  A sign-up sheet will be available at our next meeting in June.

Tom Jacobs wants to make sure that Rotary Club members who want more variety in our programs need to step-up to the plate and recommend some programs.  Many of our programs have been presenters from the non-profit world.  Michael Bergquist said that our Charitable Foundation has an explosion of grant requests due to non-profits presenting and learning about our Foundation.

Dennis Waid wants to make sure our Rotary members visit the I.Madonnari Festival chalk square at the Old Mission (May 27-29) sponsored by our Rotary Club and chalked by Adams School students from Sara Leo’s art class.
