Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Thank you to everyone who participated in last Saturday’s cleanup at Bohnett Park! It was wonderful to take part in a service project outside, where we could enjoy each other’s company from a distance and make our community a cleaner place.

This Friday, September 18 we have a Zoom meeting at noon. Jerry Roberts will speak on the state and local political outlook for the November election. Jerry is a nationally known journalist who has written extensively on national, state, and local politics. If you have heard him speak to our club before then you know he is informed, interesting, and funny! Guests are welcome – bring a friend who follows politics!

Next Friday, September 25 is our social event. Last month’s event was so fun that we are doing it again! Join us at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Gardens near Santa Barbara Street from 4:30 – 6:00 pm. Bring your own chair, drink, snacks, and wear a mask.

Our own Jim Armstrong is preparing for our October 2 meeting with Congressional candidate Andy Caldwell. Be sure to send him questions for Andy via email.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Friday!

Yours in Rotary Service,
Stacey
