🌳 Rotary Tree Planting Event – Join Us! 🌳

What: Rotary Tree Planting #1, 2025
When: Saturday, January 25th | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: Irish Hills, accessed via Royal Way (see map for details)
Who: Rotarians, family, friends, and kids – all are welcome!

Why: Help our club continue its mission to plant 1,000 trees as part of SLO City’s 10Tall initiative!

What to Expect:

• Enjoy the stunning views of SLO from the Irish Hills.
• Learn the ropes with a "how-to" planting demonstration.
• Plant small, 4-inch seedlings (in 1-gallon pots) using pre-dug holes and provided materials, including gopher cages, Grow Tubes, stakes, soil, mulch, and water.

Important Details:

• The planting site is flat, but there is a steep 1/4-mile paved road leading up to it. A shuttle vehicle will be available for assistance.
• Bring:
  • Gloves
  • Shovel
  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Comfortable, layered workwear
