Polio NID 2015 is in the books

Amy Kardel returned this weekend from New Delhi after participating in the Polio National Immunization Day in India. The team of 18 Rotarians led by PDG Anil Garg represented our district and were part of the 300 Rotarians from around the world that helped immunize 170 million children in the week long campaign. Amy was impressed by the level of detail in the plan to make sure each child was reached. For example, 100,000 children were immunized on moving trains and every dwelling's door was marked with chalk and noted in a micro plan overseen by WHO. We should be proud to be part of this monumental effort.
