On February 12th, we teamed up with T-Shirt Success, Haiti Relief, a nationwide effort to get help to Haiti through various organizations, and MCP's ASB to sell t-shirts at our school during sporting events and at our school rally. We sold 140 t-shirts at our school and "painted" our gym and field white during our major soccer and basketball games by encouraging everyone that purchased a t-shirt to wear it in support of Haiti and the MCP athletic community. We plan to sell our shirts at school again and even set up a booth at Thursday night Farmer's Market. The shirts will be sold for 15 dollars. All proceeds go directly to the organization of our choice.
We have raised around 1500 dollars for the Haiti effort, and ASB is going to match our total donation. We have not decided on the organization that will receive our donation, but we have considered Doctors without Borders, Habitat for Humanity and a few others.
