"Autism - What It Is and What It Isn't"

Dr. Debra Balke is a board certified pediatric neurologist at Child Neurology of SLO who received her medical degree and fellowship training at the UCLA School of Medicine.  She is co-founder of the Central Coast Autism Spectrum Center and is current volunteer Executive Director.  The Center is committed to changing lives for the better in San Luis Obispo County by seeking positive collaborative change in our existing systems, creating much needed new programs and services, and assuring that our future generations of families touched by autism have the support and services they need to thrive. Her greatest accomplishment has been successfully raising two children with autism to adulthood.
