President's Message
Dear friends,

I can’t wait for Tuesday’s club meeting, as it’s one of my favorite annual events – the 2021 SBCC Scholarship Awards Celebration! We are awarding a total of 11 scholarships this year, so please join us to hear the inspiring stories of these wonderful students and the faculty members who support them. And what better way to inspire us all to participate in our Club fundraiser this month?

My thanks to the Club Fundraising Committee co-chairs Cathy Cash & Tony Morris, their committee members, and club team captains who are working hard for our upcoming “Back 2 School Virtual Benefit” on May 19, 4-5pm, to raise funds for next year’s scholarships for SBCC students. We have already raised over $10,000 in corporate donations, individual donations, and in-kind contributions, so we’re well on our way.
I hope every member commits to making a financial or in-kind donation.

The virtual silent auction will go live May 12, but you must register for the Benefit in order to have access to the auction site when it opens. Please register today by clicking here!

And don’t forget to tune in to the virtual District Foundation Recognition event this Friday, May 7,
6-7pm.  DG Deb Linden will be recognizing the winners of the $52.40 Challenge which includes our Club, along with individuals in our Club who have achieved Paul Harris Society and other giving levels. Please attend to celebrate the achievements of our Club this year. The event is FREE but you need to register in advance by clicking here.

See you on Tuesday!

C.A.R.E 4 Paws Food Packaging

Looks like we've found a great new member in Eryn Shugart.  When circumstances prevented her from attending our most recent service project, she called in a substitute.  Many thanks to her daughter Megan for jumping in to package food for pets whose owners have been hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eight Montecito members joined Megan in the effort and followed up with a little socially distanced fellowship over food and wine.
