President's Message
Dear friends,

I was thrilled that Tony Morris said yes earlier this month to becoming the President Elect Nominee (PEN) for the 2022-23 year. Tony has been actively involved in our club from the day he joined three years ago and will be a great president.

While we continue to be in COVID-19 lockdown, it’s not stopping our club from finding meaningful ways to be of service in our community. Please join me in collecting needed supplies for Domestic Violence Solutions, a local nonprofit that offers shelter and support for individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Check the Service & Social section at left for more details on how you can help.

See you Tuesday,

Get to Know Tony Morris,
Our New PEN

Tony was born in Enterprise, Alabama and graduated with a degree in Journalism from Troy University. After spending 27 years in corporate America, where he had senior management roles for Fortune 500 firms like Coca-Cola, MCI Telecommunications and Brown-Forman, he moved to California.

Prior to living in Santa Barbara, Tony lived in Palm Springs where he was involved in nonprofits and launched his Intuitive Counselor practice (tony-morris.com). Today, he also serves as Director of Community Outreach & Development for the Rona Barrett Foundation, which provides affordable housing and wellness services for low-income elderly. In his capacity, he leads fundraising and public relations efforts for the nonprofit located in Santa Ynez.

"Everyone has a special place in their heart for our senior citizens, so to be involved with a nonprofit that has such a positive impact on their lives is very rewarding," Tony said.

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and serves on the Board of Directors of the Montecito Trails Foundation. "We're so fortunate to live so close to not only the ocean, but these incredible mountains. I try to take advantage of our surroundings every opportunity that I have."

Tony likes a good laugh - even at his own expense. Recently, he became a contestant on the wacky NBC series, "Ellen's Game of Games," which will air in the near future.

Speaking of the future, he's very honored and excited to be President Elect Nominee for the Rotary Club of Montecito. "I was introduced to Rotary in 7th grade, when I attended my first club meeting in my hometown. I was always impressed with the goodwill the club brought to my community. Today, I feel the same way about my adopted hometown's Rotary Club. Together, we'll continue to do good work - and treasure friendships along the way."

Rotary International

When Rotary members tried to bring toilets to a remote island, the population wasn’t ready.

As we stand at the threshold of the third decade of the 21st century, imagine where we’re

When clubs cultivate relationships with Rotary alumni, both sides benefit.
