Thank you to all who attended and helped raise approximately $8500 for Polio Eradication. When combined with the 2:1 matching contribution from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Montecito Rotarians can proudly say we helped raise over $25,000 for Polio.

WADE NOMURA is a charter member (2002) of the Rotary Club of Carpinteria Morning. He served as the District Governor in 2011-2012. He is a charter Paul Harris Society member, Major Donor, Bequest Society Member, and recipient of the Rotary International “Service Above Self” Award and the Rotary Foundation’s “Citation for Meritorious Service” Award. Wade has been on over 50 international trips for Rotary, including an NID to India, where he has a special passion, having had polio as a child. Wade is also an honorary member of 14 international Rotary clubs having helped charter 5 of them, and honorary ambassador for 2 international districts.
Among his many roles, Wade serves/served as the District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, and produces and hosts the TV show “Rotary, Serving Our Community” that you can see at www.WeAreRotary.TV and features a number of shows on the Rotary Foundation.
Wade is the president of Nomura/Yamasaki Landscapes, Inc., having started the company nearly 40 years ago and has been awarded multiple beautification awards.
At the local level, Wade is the Vice Mayor of Carpinteria City, President of the Carpinteria Boys and Girls Club Foundation, President of the Santa Barbara Junior Golf Tour, and President of the Santa Barbara Japanese American Citizens League.
