President's  Message
Dear Rotarians,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with laughter, connection, and quality time with family and friends. It’s hard to believe we haven’t been together for over a month—it feels like forever!

As we step into 2025, I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together as a club. Our first meeting of the year is this Tuesday, and I hope to see everyone there. Let’s start strong with positive energy and fresh ideas for the months ahead. Together, we can make this a great year for our club and the community we serve.

Support for Unity Shoppe
Kim Stone and Kerri Murray at the Unity Shoppe Telethon

Our Club's support for the Unity Shoppe was multifaceted this year.  Members donated toys for underprivileged children, including one very special koala sleep sack purchased by the much-missed Rosslyn Ray.

Additional support (and a little local advertising) was provided by Kim who brought her mobile beverage service to the Unity Shoppe telethon to provide passersby with coffee, cookies, and hot chocolate.  And Kerri Murray served as one of the emcees for the annual Unity Shoppe Telethon.

Many thanks to all who helped make the holidays brighter for Unity Shoppe families across our county.

Friendship Center Breakfast

Rotarians Mark Osiel, Susan Hersberger, Bernadette Bagley, and Kim Stone celebrate with Santa

Clients of the Montecito Friendship Center and their families shared a Holiday breakfast on Tuesday, Dec. 10th.  Montecito Rotarians were on hand to seat and serve guests.  Festivities were supplemented with live piano music and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Thanks to all those pictured above, as well as Larry Minasian, for including service in their seasonal activities.
Holiday Party 2024

Someone (me) must have have a bit too much holiday cheer, and forgot to take photos at this year's holiday party.

It was a lovely event organized by Cathy Cash and Lora Fisher, and generously hosted by Jeff and Karen Kerns. Food was plentiful and a good time was had by all.

P.S. - If anyone else has photos, please send them to me and I'll update this article. :)
