President's Message
Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I know we've been having what locals call "Gray May" days, but our Rotary month has been nothing but bright! Earlier this month, we celebrated 12 accomplished students at the annual Santa Barbara City College Vocational Scholarship luncheon. It was a special day!

And, on Friday, May 24th at 10:30 a.m., we will award the graduating preschoolers at the Montecito Family YMCA with a copy of Dr. Seuss' classic book, "Oh, The Places You Will Go!" I hope you can make plans to be there!

Our next meeting on Tuesday, May 21st at noon at the Music Academy of the West will feature the students we sent to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) earlier this year. Personally, I'm looking forward to hearing high schoolers Ellen Butler, Preston Fehr, Ada Green and Sophia Regan share their RYLA experiences.

Thank you for your continued support and ideas. Hope to see you Tuesday.

Yours in Service,

Tony

This year twelve deserving students received scholarship assistance sponsored by our Club, the Club Foundation, and individual Club members.  We celebrated their success at a special lunch on the SBBC campus, hosted by the students in the Culinary Arts program.

Thanks to President Elect Nominee Sese Ntem for coordinating with SBCC Foundation staff to organize the event.
