President's Message
Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As we approach the end of 2023, I wanted to send one more newsletter to highlight our club’s activity this past month. From the inspirational performance of the Montecito Union School student chorus to our festive holiday party to the toy collection drive, December has been a full month.

It has also been a time for reflection and remembrance; embracing and sharing gratitude seem to come naturally to Rotarians.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at noon at the Music Academy (we will be dark on Tuesday, Jan. 2). Please make plans to be at our first meeting of 2024.

Thank you for all you do to make our club a shining example to our community. Happy Holiday to all of you.

Yours in Service,

Tony
Club News
Holiday Concert
Pam Herzog leads a choir of 5th and 6th grade students from Montecito Union School.

Club members and proud parents enjoyed a concert of holiday songs by the Montecito Union School Chorus.  Students were rewarded for their performance with delicious, after-concert cookies!
Toys for Kids
Rotarians Eryn Shugart, Todd Aldrich, Murray Ray, Taro Usami, and Larry Minasian present a selection of toys collected for deserving, local children.

Thanks to your generosity, Christmas will be a little brighter for children who attend the Savie Health free clinic in Lompoc. Eryn Shugart gratefully accepted the wide variety of games and athletic equipment collected during this year's toy drive, and will deliver them to the health center in Lompoc.
Holiday Party
Revelers assemble for a group photo at the end of the evening. Keen observers will note that thru the magic of digital editing we were able to include both photographers in the photo. :)

Club members were joined by visiting Rotarians Marc Green and Anne Teller for an evening of fun and feasting. Many thanks to Cathy Cash and Bruce McRoy for opening their beautiful home to us, and providing a delicious array of appetizers and desserts.  And congratulations to President Tony on his holiday trivia win!
