Hearing & Vision Tests Continue
Rotarians are partnering with local Lions clubs to administer hearing and vision tests for elementary school students in the Santa Barbara Unified School District.
Several Montecito Club members have already volunteered, but there are additional opportunities to participant. Free training is provided immediately before each session.
Are you willing to help? If so, please contact Ed Holdren at edholdren45@outlook.com.
And be sure to tell him you're with the Rotary Club of Montecito!
A special thanks to Eryn and Kati for all the work they did to make the vocational scholarship lunch at Santa Barbara City College a memorable event. The stories from the students and their teachers who nominated them were so inspiring. It is truly special to be part of this Club that has done this great work for over twenty five years.
Our fundraiser for Ukraine is very close you our goal of raising $10,000 each for Shelter Box and Direct Relief. So far we have received donations from 15 Rotarians totaling $9,850. There is still time to make a pledge by email if you would like to be part of this effort.
I look forward to seeing everyone in May 3rd at the Music Academy of the West to hear our own Kerri Murray and Dean Axelrod from Direct Relief update us on their humanitarian efforts for the people of Ukraine.
