We meet the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 12:00 PM
on the main patio of the
Music Academy of the West
1070 Channel Drive
 
 
Free parking is available in both the upper and lower lots.
 
Both lunch and our program will take place outdoors on the patio.
 
We adhere to all COVID protocols required by the Music Academy of the West:
  • only fully vaccinated people can attend
  • masks must be worn indoors at all times (regardless of vaccination status)
Rotarians Gather for Happy Hour at Finney's Crafthouse
 
Members Bruce McRoy, Tony Morris, Jason & Anita Blakemore, Liz Westwick, and Bernadette Bagley braved unusually cold temperatures to convene for cocktails and appetizers at Finney's Crafthouse in downtown Santa Barbara.
 
Participants were so engrossed in conversation and consumption of towering onion rings that we forgot to take photos!  So you'll just have to take it on faith that a good time was had by all.

President's Message
Fellow Rotarians,
 
As we move into Spring and daylight savings time (yay!) we have some very good programs planned for the next few meetings.
 
This Tuesday, March 1st, we have Justin Usami, former SBCC student and current business owner talking about the film he made that will premiere at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
You may remember Justin as the very skilled artist who produced and filmed portions of our 2021 virtual fundraiser.
 
On March 15th, Harry Hagen, our Treasurer and Tax Collector, will give us an update on all things Santa Barbara County real estate (and other) taxes and trends.
 
On March 22nd we'll have a Board of Directors meeting at 4 PM.  I am hoping to secure the back patio area at Uncorked restaurant on Haley street.
 
An early reminder that our annual 2022 SBCC Scholarship Lunch will be held at Santa Barbara City College at noon on April 19th.  Eryn is working hard on organizing the event including a nice catered lunch from CaDario in Montecito.
 
I hope you can join us in person at our next several meetings.
