Our April social event is a bit of a mystery.  Cathy is organizing a number of small dinner parties hosted by club members for club members.  The twist?  Neither guests nor hosts know who will be attending until the arrivals begin.

It's a great surprise and a guaranteed good time sharing food and fellowship.

If you'd like to participate,  please RSVP to Cathy no later than Wednesday, April 5th
(cathycash.rotary@gmail.com).
Let her know the number/names of people who will attend and any dietary restrictions.

Hope to see you there!

President's Message
Dear Fellow Rotarians,

What do a buzzer, fondue, and wine have in common? The answer: yesterday's Game Night, where members of the Rotary Club of Montecito enjoyed sandwiches, appetizers, and sweets followed by a competitive (and hysterical) round of the card game Taboo. The perfect nightcap of sake was provided by our newest club member, Taro. Thanks so much to Bernadette for hosting and to Cathy for organizing.

Another big shout out to those club members volunteering community service hours at Sunday's BBQ/Polo Match for the crew and family members of the USS Santa Barbara.

And don't worry if you were unable to participate in our latest service opportunity;  there will be more community service projects to come.

I appreciate all of your support and hope to see you this Tuesday.

Yours in Service,
Tony
Club News
Good Times at Game Night

Rotarians Murray, Taro, Bruce, Bernadette, Cathy, Kati, Peter, and Tony (behind the camera) gather for a little friendly competition.

Our recent Rotary Game Night was a great success.  Food was plentiful and delicious, while wine and sake helped the conversation flow.

We had some interesting cross-cultural moments during the games with members from different backgrounds attempting to interpret culture specific clues. Next time you see Murray ask him to explain the meaning of "a dog's breakfast".

President Tony demonstrated excellent gaming skills and took home the $100,000 (candy bar) grant prize.

We plan to organize similar events in future and look forward to participation by even more club members.
