President's Message
Fellow Rotarians,

We will not be meeting at the Music Academy this week.  Instead, we'll have our annual Vocational Scholarship Awards luncheon on the SBCC campus, April 19th at noon.  A special thanks to Eryn Shugart for all of her hard work in making this event happen.

Another special event … all of the Group 8 Rotary Clubs (Carpinteria to Goleta) are having a social on Thursday, April 28th from 5-7 PM at Elings Park.  The cost is a very reasonable $15 per person and it will be a great opportunity to meet Rotarians from the other Clubs and socialize outside.

Finally, our own Kerri Murray, CEO of Shelter Box USA, and Rotarian Dean Axelrod of Direct Relief Intl. will speak to the Club on May 2nd on humanitarian relief efforts for Ukraine.

Also wanted to remind you that our fundraiser goes until May 1st, and we will be presenting checks to both organizations on May 3rd (with the Club Foundation matching the first $10,000 of member donations) .

To date, we have had 11 Club Members donate a total of $7,350—let’s make sure we reach our $10,000 goal which means that each Organization will be awarded $10,000 with the Foundation match.

Please make checks out to the Rotary Club of Montecito Foundation and send them to Tom Fisher, Treasurer at 7969 Winchester Circle, Goleta, CA 93117.

Thank you,

Tom
