Montecito Update

It will be good to have Bill Macfadyen, Noozhawk's founder and publisher back with us after a 2+ year hiatus.

He’ll provide us with a Montecito Village update, including the planned new roundabouts, real estate, new business activities, and more.

President's Message
Dear Fellow Rotarians,

The first Rotary Club of Montecito meeting that I ever attended was the Community Grants luncheon five years ago. The amazing sense of giving back to the community made me want to become a member immediately.

The notice regarding this year's Community Grants Program has been posted on the club's website. Click here to access the application form, which includes eligibility requirements and instructions for submission.

The deadline for the submission of applications is October 7.

The Grants Committee encourages all club members to solicit applications from all worthy non-profits with which they actively participate.

Please contact Susan Hersberger, Austin Pugh or our Foundation Board President Bruce McRoy if you have any questions about the application or the process.

See you this Tuesday,
Tony

Living Vehicles Donates to Club Foundation
Former Club members Robert Mislang and Wally Hofmann present check to Club President Tony Morris.

Our August 17th meeting was held offsite at Living Vehicles headquarters in the Santa Barbara funk zone. After a tour of the facilities and a brief presentation, Living Vehicles founder Wally Hofmann surprised us with a $500 donation to the Rotary Club of Montecito Foundation.  Wally is a fan of our Santa Barbara City College scholarship program and asked that the funds be used to support that endeavor.

Many thanks to Wally and everyone at Living Vehicles for their generous support!
