Good Times Doing Good!

Saturday was a perfectly sunny and beautiful day for the Santa Barbara Heart Walk along Cabrillo Blvd. The free event was held at Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort and promoted a “heart-healthy” living with booths that educated people on health issues and featured complimentary health screenings, a kids’ zone with a jump house, healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, music and many other attractions.

This event drew 850 participants of all ages and raised more than $190K with the proceeds going to help fund the American Heart Association’s research and educational programs, along with promoting the prevention, treatment, and better patient care in the area of cardiovascular disease.
