President Scott Nichol's 6 month review
Wednesday, January 25 marked the 6th month of the 2016/2017 year. We have had lots of successes and we need to continue staying focused and reach the rest of our goals.
Successes include: We have an excellent name in the community, friends have been made and hearts touched
We have over $32,000 in the bank
We have had 2 new members join
The 12 letter campaign
Rotary reunion party
4 socials
monthly service
We have sponsored 2 children in Uganda
Vest for all service projects
We welcome all guests with a handshake and a followup
email.
We restarted our adopt a Solider program
We volunteered with the Stop Hunger Campaign
We help serve at Amsurf
We donated $300 to Jr Roller Derby
Our attendance rate is 90%
We added Trunk or Treat to the City of Grover Beach's Halloween Carnival with 400 kids attending
We finally found a great Annual fundraiser Bands, Burgers and Brews
We have the Beer/Wine booth at the Concerts in the Park for the City of Grover Beach
We hosted the Police/Fire appreciation Lunch
While we have accomplished much there's still more to be done.
We want to add 5 new members and to help with that Rotary has a new elevator speech when asked What's Rotary? "We're a leadership organization of local business, professional and civic leaders.
we meet regularly, get to know each other, form friendships, and through that, we're
able to get things done in the community."
We have new "You've been noticed" cards to hand out as an invitation to come check us out.
