Life Interrupted - DUI laws and the impact on our community.
Over the course of this summer, there have been multiple DUI crashes that resulted in deaths in Kern County.  Scott will speak about the laws that apply to deadly DUIs.  He will explain how he worked with the mother of a DUI victim to successfully change the law in California to make it easier to prove second degree murder charges in a DUI case.  Scott will also speak about how he has personally witnessed the devastation a DUI death has on families.  Finally, Scott will show a presentation of "A Life Interrupted".  Scott is the President of "A Life Interrupted" which is a program that was created to educate high schoolers about the dangers of distracted driving.
