Social and Racial Equality

Wade Nomura draws on his experience as a global humanitarian, community leader and Mayor of Carpinteria, successful businessman and champion athlete, to educate and inspire audiences around the world. Within Rotary, he has worked on 200 charitable projects and been on 50 international project missions. He currently serves as the Technical Coordinator of water, sanitation and hygiene projects worldwide for Rotary. In the last 10 years, he has presented to over 200,000 people across 15 countries, illuminating how to maximize success, create impactful projects, and enhance team performance, and has been a speaker on Civil Rights at the last two Rotary International Peace Conferences which are highlighted in his book “Creating Destiny”. Wade is a third generation Japanese American whose parents were interned during WWll. He was born in Santa Barbara and will be speaking on racial equality and social justice through personal experiences. |

The Rotary Club of China Lake Presents - The 2021 China Lake Scholarship Auction ! The pandemic has interfered with our having our traditional Scholarship Dinner Auction. Being resilient and able to adapt, and after significant discussion and research, we are holding a Virtual On-Line Auction to raise funds for our Scholarship Program. The goal is to have the auction site go live on 1 March so you can see items you may wish to bid on. The dates for the live bidding are 13-27 March.
