What a beautiful day for our Rotary family! Yesterday, four Rotary clubs - including our very own Central Coast Passport Rotary - joined in the city of San Luis Obispo in Mission Plaza to celebrate the dedication of SLO’s very first Peace Pole, a symbol of unity and goodwill for our community.

The pole features the enduring message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in eight languages, each one representing a culture that has helped shape who we are as a community, from the Chumash people, the original stewards of this land, to the many communities that have made SLO their home.

We were treated to a wonderful performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine” by the SLO Youth Symphony and the Central Coast Youth Choir — the perfect soundtrack for such a meaningful occasion.

A huge congratulations to Rotary de Tolosa for all the hard work and dedication it took to initiate and make this happen. We are proud to have been a part of it! ☮️
