PP Bruceintroduced a video highlighting the impact of their Rotary club's international efforts, particularly in Romania, where they have supported Mia's Children, a non-profit that provides a home and opportunities for abandoned children. The club has funded projects such as a summer camp in Belgium and a play, and Cambria emphasized the importance of these efforts in making a difference in the lives of these children. She encouraged club members to attend future international meetings and consider participating in trips to Romania to witness the impact of their work firsthand. This Week's Presentation
Baileigh Ruiz, CUHS FFA Teacher
Bronco Blooms
Baileigh introduced the Bronco Blooms Club's floral program at Coast Union High School, highlighting its growth from 32 to 57 students since her arrival. She thanked Sue Robinson and an anonymous Rotarian for their support, including the sponsorship of eight subscriptions for Cherish House in Cambria. The Floral Careers class, managed by Baileigh, handles subscription sales and other floral arrangements, with some students managing up to six clients. The program teaches real-world skills like budgeting, problem-solving, and communication, preparing students for future careers in floral design. Six of the advanced students shared what they have learned and some of their experiences since taking the class.
