At a special awards luncheon on May 29, 2019, the Camarillo Rotary Foundation awarded $10,000 in scholarships to deserving local students. This year's winners (left to right) are Angela Shiflett (Adolfo Camarillo HS), Sara Saffari (Adolfo Camarillo HS), Luis Perez (John Muir Charter HS), Gabrielle Oroc (Rancho Campana HS), Amanda Myers (Rancho Campana HS), Jazmine Lucente (Adolfo Camarillo HS), Sarah Foote (Adolfo Camarillo HS), Lindsay Erdmann (Rio Mesa HS), Daniel Bucio (Ventura Training Center-Fire Academy), and Sahni Garcia-Baron (Rancho Campana HS). The Camarillo Rotary Foundation has awarded more than $85,000 in scholarships to deserving students in the last five years.
 
Going forward:
 
Angela will be attending Northeastern University and majoring in International Business Finance.
Sara will attend UC Berkeley and plans a career in School Psychology.
Luis will be entering the Ventura Training Center Firefighter Academy.
Gabrielle plans to attend California State University Channel Islands, and will major in Math and Computer Science.
Amanda will study Music and Performance at Los Angeles City College.
Jazmine will attend a California State University and plans a career in Pediatric Nursing or Public Health.
Sarah will major in Neuroscience and Forensic Psychology at Brigham Young University.
Lindsay will pursue a Chemistry major at UC Santa Barbara.
Daniel will be attending Oxnard College and studying Fire Technology.
Sanhi will study Managerial Economics and Political Science at UC Davis.
