Dr. Beverly Valles Torres is the Physician in Charge for Kaiser Permanente Oxnard Medical Office Building where she started the Hippocrates Circle Program and Junior Volunteer Program in Western Ventura County. A fourth generation Oxnard native, Dr. Torres will discuss her journey towards her medical career, her family roots and the community service programs that she has led for the past ten years. |

Barbara Schultz will share the astounding story of Pancho Barnes—from unhappy socialite-debutant to pioneer aviator, founder of the first movie stunt pilots' union, Women's Air Derby racer and member of the Ninety-Nines. In later years, Pancho was the owner of the Happy Bottom Riding Club, a bar and restaurant in the Mojave Desert catering to the test pilots and aviators who worked nearby. Barbara is the author of Pancho: The biography of Florence Lowe Barnes. |

Jennifer and Claudia are both Elementary School Principals (Academy of Technology and Leadership at Saticoy [ATLAS] and Camarillo Heights STEM Academy, respectively) with a passion for building leadership skills in youth. ATLAS was named a "Lighthouse School" this past year which puts it in the top 10% of Franklin Covey Leadership Schools worldwide. Part of being a Lighthouse School is mentoring other schools to build leadership capacity in their students as well. Jennifer and Claudia are excited to embark on this partnership to help Cam Heights get started with ‘The Leader In Me’ process to find the leader in every child! |

Darin Arrasmith (Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks) has been District 5240’s RYLA Director since 2007 and will report how RYLA has impacted the lives of thousands of high school kids in our district. Now some of those graduates have come back and serve as counselors and instructors and the testimony from graduates and their families is truly inspiring. |
