The Bakersfield East Rotary Club was chartered on December 23rd, 1952. This year, we are celebrating our 65th anniversary! Our club motto for 2017-18 is "We are 65 and we care".
If you can leave your stress behind for just one hour and are willing to have fun in the brotherhood and sisterhood of East Rotary, then you need to come to our meetings!
Speakers: Ford Dimension and Dream Builders Program

The Ford Dimension students work in conjunction with the Dream Builders to create significant community projects with an emphasis on “service over self” and civic responsibility while learning valuable business and life skills. Students attend monthly meetings together with a focus on leadership development, character, communication and career building skills.
These students along with others in their group decided on a project that would bring awareness to human trafficking. After learning that the average age of a victim of human trafficking is 13 years old, the students decided to create an informational video they plan to distribute to high school groups all over Kern County.

When and why did you become a member of Rotary?
I became a member in 2013 at the urging of my boss, Tony Ansolabehere.
What is your classification with our club?
Government
Family information. My wife Cari and I have been married for 28 years. Our four children are Calvin – 27, Paige – 25, Mara – 17, Anna – 13.
Hobby/What you do for fun? My interests are as follows:
Swimming, hiking, reading
Anything that you would like to share? I am wearing my Rotary pin – really.
