Additionally, Jacob works as an engineer at Crimson Resource Management, an oil production company. Kevin Michael:
He began water skiing at a young age and eventually became a professional water skier. He Was a professional Water Skier at SeaWorld, Marine World, and Stars of Florida for close to four years. He worked for Wakeboarding Magazine for over 12 years. After his skiing career, Kevin transitioned into media and content creation. He has also worked as a consultant, an ambassador, and in Washington DC on water sports legislation. He is the new executive director of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.
Ski West Village of Arvin Bakersfield will be hosting the 2024 Water Ski Championship:
- The championship will take place August 13th-17th
- Over 600 Competitors
- 3 Types of events: Slalom Skiing, Trick Skiing, & Jump Skiing
- Slalom Skiing = Weaving between buoys, with each attempt the tow rope gets shorter and shorter
- Trick Skiing = 20 seconds to fit the best trick combinations in
- Jump Skiing = Long jump, competitors get above 70 MPH
- World records are expected to be broken due to Kern County’s perfect conditions
- Kern County has hosted the Waterski National Championship 5 different times
- The last time it was held in Kern County was 2007
