Larry Pickett “Took the Floor” and presented to the Club an excellent program entitled:
A Crisis, It Will Happen…Sometime
What is a crisis? Unhappy Customers, Security Breach, Negative Product or Service Issues, Layoffs, Litigation, Environmental Concerns, Activists, Disasters, and Terrorism…just to mention a few. If these situations are not handled well it will have an adverse effect on customers, employees, marketing, reputation and a company’s bottom-line. So what do we need to do to mitigate the effects of a crisis before it happens?
Larry laid out a Four Step Crisis Management Process to forecast what was needed before it happened:
- Anticipation
- Development of a Crisis Plan
- Implementation Plan
- Evaluation of the Plan and its execution
No crisis occurs according to plan, however being prepared is the KEY to maintain Business Continuity.
