The Demotion of
Justin Leland
Invocation: Jeff Chandler
Flag Salute: Ken Beurmann
Song: Garro Ellis and the Moneywise Singers
If you weren't able to make the demotion, too bad for you, because it was hilarious! It was good to be back at home base at the BMOA.
At precisely noon, President Ken Rang the Bell and got to work. He made the proclamation that the roast wasn't going to be all about President Justin's failed John Muir Trail adventure. Then he pretty much turned around and did just that.
It started off with a surprise celebrity visit by John Muir himself, played by Jon Sampson.
A video created by yours truly called "Ken Beurmann, Survivorman" played next. You can watch it here.
The rest of the presentation consisted of a convincing recreation of an 80's cheesy video game called The Oregon Trail. Where Justin, Jim Damion, Joe Hay and Jason Cater try and reach Mount Whitney via the John Muir Trail. We'll try and get a link to that soon.
All the while, Doc Shambaugh kept a close watch on Justin's blood pressure, in the event we had to medivac him out.
All in all, it was all good fun and Justin looked relieved it was all over.
